Enjoy Each Moment...

This little project was one of the gifts I gave my Hubby for his Birthday.  He also got  a little something from Tommy Bahama's too, which is one of his favorites.  But, he was also pretty happy to receive this little canister I put together for him too, as it was filled with another one of his favorites, homemade coconut macaroons. Yum!  8-)

Now this particular canister is decorated in a pretty basic way, but I wanted to keep it simple, with clean lines and a masculine color scheme since it was for my Hubby.
I started off with a clean empty coffee canister, one of my ways of recycling, and covered it with basic brown Kraft paper that I had stamped with Hero Arts Envelope Pattern using Memento Tuxedo Black. My Main Image, a Hero Arts stamp that I picked up from Addicted to Rubber Stamps, was stamped onto  Flourishes Classic Ivory, twice, that way I'd have an image for both the front and back of my canister. I colored both images with my Copics and added a little sparkle with my Spica Glitter Pens to all the swirly parts of my images.

Well, I tried to get in close so you could see the sparkles from my Spica Glitter pens, but it's still hard to see here, but the sparkles really are there and they add a nice little extra pop to my image panels.
The rest is super easy, I chose some cardstock in co-ordinating colors from my scrap folder for my mats, lucky for me I had some scraps that matched. LOL...  I used my Score Pal to emboss my main image panels and my kraft mat panels, to add a little dimension. I love using this technique on my panels, it just gives any project a really professional and finished look.  That little tip was given to me by super talented Designer, Dina Kowal.  If you get a chance, you should check out her blog, and her amazing cards.  The last steps of my project were simply to mat up the images and attach them to my canister, one to the front and one to the back. I popped a large coordinating gift bow on top & Voila, all ready for gifting.

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday & thanks so much for stopping by!
