Warm Winter Wishes - Taylored Expressions

Hi All & A Very Happy Saturday to you!  Hope you've all been having a Wonderful weekend so far. And hope you are all set & ready for the Upcoming Holidays!! Can't believe Christmas is just a few days away!! 8-) I am pretty much done with all the preparations, except for my baking, which I'll be doing this coming Sunday.. I like everything to be as Fresh as possible, but I hate getting stressed out at the last minute too, so my happy medium is to dedicate a day to baking two-three days before Christmas instead... 8-)  Well, today I'm back to share my final Christmas Card of the year! Whoo Hoo! I had really planned on creating a bunch more, but just plumb pooped out and ran out of time, lol ;-)  That's okay, I've already got my "Christmas Projects To Do list" started for 2013, lol...So I will get to them all, eventually.. 8-)
I actually made up a few of these little cuties, but this is the one I liked the best... I Stamped my Super Cute The Cool Crowd Snowmen with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Choice Snow White, colored them up with my trusty Copics & did a little shading with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I cut them out and scored the edges with the help of my Score Pal for a nice clean look, and popped them up with a bit of foam tape.  My mats and BG layers were created with Kraft CS, my Sizzix Snowflake EF and some Festive dp's from Echo Park's This & That Christmas 6x6 collection. To finish it all up I stamped my Cool Crowd Sentiment, added a couple Make a Snowflake Die cuts topped with a button and a bit of Doodle Twine, added a little Liquid Applique, a few gems and a touch of Stardust Stickles for a little sparkle too! 8-)

Here are the items I used for my project today...

Wishing you all a Very Merry & Blessed Christmas! And thanks so much for dropping by! 8-)

Baker's Dozed Studio Challenge December! 8-)

Hi All! And a Very Happy Tuesday to you! 8-) It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.  This is a monthly opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum.  Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The question for December is:
Inpsiration is all around us.  Many of us learned to stamp by CASEing other stampers we admired.  (CASE = Copy and Share Everything)  We want everyone to know that, not only is CASEing perfectly OK, it's actually pretty flattering and a lot of fun!  And it can be especially helpful in the midst of the busy holiday season when it's hard to think straight!  So take some inspiration from your fellow Baker's Dozen Teammates, and show us how you can turn any great inspiration into a fabulous holiday card!

OMGoodness was this ever a Fun Challenge!! 8-)  I got to CASE the Fabulously talented Sankari Wegman, and let me tell you I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off! She's got some serious big shoes to fill, lol 8-) And I Absolutely ADORE her Aazing Whimsical style! I kind of did a combination of a CASE of Sankari's Darling card HERE and just keying in on some of her Signautre design elements and style. 8-) I kept the Fun layered Scallops though my scallops are a bit smaller than Sankari's. And of course my main image is different as well as the dies I used to cut it out and the Dp's as well, but you can still see a lot of Sankari's style and signature elements and layout too. I also learned I need more practice with liquid pearls! lol  How do you get your little pearl dots and dashes So Perfect Miss Sankari!!? 8-) Oh well, I did my best! 8-)

Here's a close up  shot of my main image panel, by this time I was starting to do a little bit better with the liquid pearls. lol 8-)
I stamped my Darling Joy ALC image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream and colored it up with my Trusty Copics. I cut it out & matted it up with the help of TE's Labels Stacklets 1 Dies, added a touch of shading with Antique Linen, & Vintage Photo Distress inks and popped it up with a bit of foam tape. My Mats and BG layers were created with Hillary Bazzill CS, Cherry Cobbler CS and Simple Stories' Darling Handmade Holiday 6x6 Collection. To finish it all up I added some Fun layered TE Medium Scallop Border Die cuts, some Pretty Red Glimmer Ribbon and lots of little dots and dashes of liquid pearls.. 8-)

It was a lot of fun CASING Miss Sankari's Awesome Card using a different theme & elements and still achieved a similar look! So even if you don't have the same exact elements of a project you want to CASE, you can still use your creativity and come up with something similar! I always head over to the TE Gallery for some Fabulous inspiration whenever I get stuck...I Love that I always come away with a ton of new ideas and fresh motivation to get going on my next project! 8-)

The Baker's Dozen has Lots more goodies for you this morning, so hop on over and see...8-)

Here are the items I used for my project today and you can find them in the TE Store...

Hope you all have a Super Day & Thanks so much for dropping by 8-)
