Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge!

Hi all! And a Very Happy Tuesday to you! I have Sooo been looking forward to sharing today's Exciting Baker's Dozen post with you all today!! Yay! 8-) Taylored Expressions is introducing a new monthly challenge for the design team:  The Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.  This will be an opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum.  Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The question for July is:
You are stranded on a desert island. The good news is that you find a fabulous stamping hut well-stocked with papers, inks and other stamping supplies, however you only have the 5 stamp sets you brought with you in the luggage you managed to salvage. So tell us, what stamps sets did you bring and why?
What a Great question, huh?... 8-)  I really had  to think about this one for a bit, and let me tell you it was quite a challenge for me to pick  Just five sets, lol.  I really Adore all Taylored Expressions Fabulous stamps sets, but I think if I really had to narrow it down, I would have to go with Taylored Expressions Darling Word A la Carte stamps! They are so versatile, you can Taylor them to suit Masculine, Feminine, Fancy or CAS creations, not to mention when I travel, I travel light & they are small and easy to pack, lol 8-)
So I'd definitely grab the five Word A la Carte sets, for the cards I seem to make the most of: It's Your Birthday A la Carte, Faith A la Carte, cause I make a lot of encouragement cards, 8-) Love A la Carte which is great for Anniversary's, Weddings and Valentines of course, Snow A la Carte for Winter &  Christmas and last but definitely not least, Thanks A la Carte! 8-)

I stamped TE's Thanks Word A la Carte with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it up with my Trusty Copics. I cut it out and scored the edges with the help of my Score Buddy for a nice clean look and popped it up with a bit of foam tapeFor my mats and BG layers, I chose a combination of kraft CS from my stash and some Fabulous dp's from MME's Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection. I inked my edges with a touch of Victorian Velvet Distress ink and added a Few Sweet adhesive pearls. And the Fab Sketch is Jen Shultz's DS61.

Here are my Five Taylored Expressions A la Carte stamp set picks:
And here's one of my previously posted projects featuring another one of my Five Favorite Taylored Expressions  A la Carte sets. You can see all the details HERE... 8-)

I fussy cut the Cute Beach Sandals and cut the Beach Umbrella scene out with the help of my Classic Circles and Scallop Circles Nesties sets, popping them both up with a bit of foam tape. For my mats and BG layers, I chose a combination of aqua CS from my stash and some Fun dp's from Fancy Pants Summer Soul collection. TE - It's Your Birthday - SFYTTJuly 2012

Hi all! And a Very Happy Monday to you! Hope you all had a Fantastic weekend! We had a pretty nice one here, a bit Hotter than I would have liked, lol, but that just made it easier to stay inside and finish up a few projects, lol 8-) Well today I'm back to share my latest creation inspired by Jen's Awesome Sketch For You To Try for July!
This was a Super Fun sketch for me, I can totally see my self using this one a lot! For my creation today I chose to flip it on it's side and uses an Oval instead of a Circle, but the details are all still there! 8-)  I paper pieced most of my Fun Taylored Expressions It's Your Birthday Ala Carte image and colored the rest up with my Trusty Copics. I cut my image out with the help of my Classic Ovals and Scallop Ovals Nesties set and added some shading with Tumbled Glass Distress ink while the die was still in place. My Mats and BG layers were created with a combination of kraft CS from my stash and MME's On the Bright Side One collection. and to finish it all up, I popped my focal panel up with a bit of foam tape and added some Fun Bling with a touch of  Stardust Stickles! 8-)

My Mats and BG & Die cut  Layers were created using a combination of brown CS from my stash and MME's Lost And Found Market Street collection & Echo parks This and That Graceful collection as well. I created my Sweet flower with the help of my Cricut and the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge and a vintage peal brad. For my leaves, I got to use my New TE Leafy Branch Die. And to finish it up, I inked some of my edges with Vintage Photo distress ink, stamped my I/O sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa onto a SB Tag die cut and layered on top of two SB Labels 14 die cuts and a kraft doily from my stash. 8-)

A Friend... - TEKI July

Hi all and a Very Happy Thursday to you! 8-) Hope you've all been having a Wonderful week. Mine's been pretty good so far, I've been busy in my crafts room doing a little re-organizing and tidying. Yay! 8-) I don't know about you, but I just create better when things are somewhat organized, lol  I have a hard time creating amongst a bunch of clutter, and trust me,  my crafting area was getting pretty cluttered, lol!
Well, today I'm back with my latest creations featuring Taylored Expressions July Key Ingredients Kit! This month's Kit is just Fabulous! 8-) I LOVE the Beautiful dp's & all the fun elements too! 8-)
Sorry about my photo quality today! I was having a heck of a time getting my Auto focus in line! So some of the text is a little blurrier than I would like, but if you click on the pics, it's a bit clearer closer up..Anyway..lol For my project today, I created a Pretty little gift set for a Dear friend's Birthday, and she just Loves Pink and Green together, so I am pretty sure she will like this Card and matching post it note holder. 8-) And everything I used on it is from the TE Key Ingredients Kit, accept for a few buttons. My sentiment panels were created with the help of my Classic Ovals, Scallop Ovals, Classic Squares and Scallop Squares Nesties sets and were stamped with TE's Friendship Blooms Sentiments with Memento Rich Cocoa and shaded with a touch of Victorian Velvet distress ink. My Sweet layered flowers were created with the TE Friendship Blooms Diesthe TE Leafy Branch die and I added the Pretty TE Magestic boarder too!

I really had a lot of  Fun putting this Sweet Gift set together and I just love how it all came together so Quickly too, thanks to the help of TE's Fab July KI kit! 8-) Everything goes together so well, it just takes the guesswork right out of the equation. Love that! 8-) The tutorial I used for my Post it Note holder is HERE..  Now there are lots of these tutorials out there, but I really like this one as Carolyn has her's set up a bit differently with the pen holder on top. Makes it just Perfect, IMHO, to add a cut magnet strip to the back and put it right up on the fridge! 8-)

Here are the Taylored Dies & KI Kit I used today..
Hope you all have a Super day & thanks so much for stopping by! 8-)
